The Colorado Association of Municipal Utilities (CAMU) is comprised of and represents the 28 cities and towns in Colorado that own and operate their electric service systems. Each of these systems is as unique as the communities they serve.
In Colorado, municipally owned utilities (MOUs) – also known as public power – serve over 507,000 electric customers which represents 18% of total customers in the state.
CAMU advocates for policies that allow our members to manage operations reliably, build critical energy infrastructure affordably, and help power economic vibrancy for the communities they proudly serve.
